and I say.... it's all right

I had eight new cases last week. In one week. I'm blaming our recent bout of nasty, gloomy, gray weather for the sudden upswing is my caseload and in people feeling depressed. I've noticed my negative mood myself and have been contemplating a trip to the local tanning salon just to get a sunlight fix.

We had two inches of rain yesterday. It never stopped, not entirely. Gray lines of rain, running from gray skies to gray puddles of rain on the gray pavement. No color, not anywhere. No rainbow with it's cheerful promises. No break in the clouds whispering hope.

But today... I hopped in my little blue bug, cranked the eight speaker monsoon sound system - CD 3, track eight in my CD player. I opened the sun roof (okay, just a little... it was still only 39 degrees), backed out of the garage and zipped down the driveway.

Here comes the sun.... here comes the sun.... and I say.... it's all right...

Thank goodness. I think the suicide rate in my little corner of the world just did a neat little turn backwards. People have stopped practicing attempted vehicular homicide. People nodded and smiled at each other instead of snarling.

Here comes the sun.... here comes the sun.... and I say.... it's all right...

It's supposed to snow on Monday... can't we ever catch a break?

The sun really does have a way of perking you up. Don't go tan though! Wrinkles, cancer, just say no. You should get one of those sunlight lamps instead. I have been thinking about getting one of those for my hubby. I am a generally upbeat person but he is a little bipolar.

I'm from Northern Michigan so I expect snow in November. Heck, I've even seen snow in May! I don't mind snow if you have sunshine along with it.
